Artist Statement

Harris Parson has been shooting and producing videos for a number of years. He has assisted with archival (audio, video, and photographic) documentation for various non profit organizations and government agencies.  Harris has also served as Photojournalist and Producer for the Louis Armstrong Foundation, Inc. of New Orleans, LA. where he helped to develop a comprehensive multimedia department designed to document and archive the rich cultural jazz legacy of New Orleans.

 

Additionally, Harris has partnered with both the Gwinnett Arts Council and the Fulton County Arts Council to develop creative multimedia programs for young people throughout the Greater Metropolitan Atlanta community. Harris has also assisted The Boys and Girls Club of Metropolitan Atlanta with documentation of various events that featured youth who were talented and gifted in the arts.

 

After successfully completing an intensive internship with Georgia Public Broadcasting Harris continues to both learn and apply new methods and proven strategies to streamline the digital assets management process and increase productivity.

 

Harris current projects consist of travel and the production of a series of documentaries that tell compelling stories of independent artists and artisians from around the globe.
